Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

1. Who we are

RacketSync ("we", "us") operates a UK padel matchmaking and court booking platform at racketsync.com. We are the data controller for personal information you provide to us. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@racketsync.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, avatar, city, optional home address.
  • Player data: skill level, match results, reliability score, favourite club.
  • Booking & payment data: court reservations, session participation, Stripe payment references (we never store full card numbers).
  • Communications: emails we send you and your responses to those emails.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, and minimal logs needed to keep the service running.

3. How we use your data

  • To match you with other players at your level and reserve courts.
  • To process payments and refunds via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, match notifications, payment reminders, recap prompts).
  • To maintain platform integrity (fraud prevention, abuse detection, debugging).
  • To improve the product (aggregate, non-identifying analytics).

4. Lawful basis

We rely on contract to provide the service you signed up for, legitimate interests to keep the platform secure and improve it, and consent for any optional marketing communications (which you can withdraw at any time).

5. Who we share data with

  • Clubs you book with see your name, level, and the booking details needed to host you.
  • Other players in your match see your display name, level, and avatar. For matchmaker games where each player pays their own share, other players in the same match can also see whether your share has been paid or is still outstanding — so the group can chase outstanding shares before kick-off. No other personal data is shared between joiners.
  • Stripe processes payments and refunds.
  • Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Resend) host data and deliver emails on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.

We never sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Some of our processors are based outside the UK/EEA. Where that's the case, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is active. Booking and payment records are retained for up to 7 years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time — we'll anonymise match history that other players rely on rather than wipe it entirely.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and object to processing. Email privacy@racketsync.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change and notify you by email if changes are material.
